Meet The Founder

Launched in February 2023, Hybrid Intelligence World is Dr. Carina Antonia Hallin's second research company. Her first spinout and co-founded company Mindpool is an employee prediction and insight company, acquired in September 2022 by the world's leading innovation platform, Wazoku Limited, headquartered in London.

In January 2023, the IT University of Copenhagen clarified the legal conditions under which the launch and commercialization of the on-demand platform and marketplace for science, education, and tech integration for the Fifth Industrial Revolution can proceed.

As we approach the Fifth Industrial Revolution, Dr. Hallin has set up Hybrid Intelligence World to serve organizations, communities, and societies with new science combined with education, project management, and tech integration to create the essential foundations for making them ready for the new revolution, which will be a synergistic collaboration between human minds and machines. Moving forward, we will continue to onboard top scientists, educators, tech vendors, and project managers to unlock the hybrid intelligence in your organization, society, and community to make you ready for a conscious reality.

While Dr. Hallin has mostly developed her research hypotheses, tested them, and validated them in collaboration with both private and public organizations, she realized that the advancement of groundbreaking discoveries was in many cases dependent on external partnerships. She also observed that the future of science and education needed not only to be developed in internal laboratories and classrooms but as importantly discovered in external field experiments and data collections. Why? Because if done in collaboration with external partners, research, education, and tech integration can be naturally validated in their actual contexts and thereby become less costly and more easily applicable than science only conducted internally at universities.

About Dr. Carina Antonia Hallin

Dr. Hallin is an author, entrepreneur, and thought leader in collective intelligence (CI) and hybrid intelligence (CI+AI). She is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Collective- and Hybrid Intelligence at the University of Stavanger, Norway (part-time), a research affiliate and founder of the Collective Intelligence Research Group at the IT University of Copenhagen, and co-founder of the Academy of Management’s 25,000+ member community for Knowledge Integration, Synthesis, and Engineering. Hallin is also the co-editor of the Routledge Handbook of Collective Intelligence for Democracy and Governance, published in June 2023, and has more than 60 contributors including scholars from other prestigious universities across the world explore the concepts, methodologies, technologies, and implications of collective intelligence for democratic governance, in the first comprehensive survey of the field. 

Dr. Hallin holds a long background in collective intelligence research, most recently as an Assistant Professor in Collective Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence at the IT University of Copenhagen. Moreover, she was a research affiliate at the MIT Center for Collective Intelligence from 2020 to 2022.

In her research, she has investigated a wide spectrum of crowdsourcing platforms, both in Europe and beyond, that integrate collective intelligence and artificial intelligence.

As a hybrid intelligence scholar, she is well-versed in the latest developments in CI/AI technology and is also able to integrate this technology with innovation, human intuition, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Moreover, working with other scientists highly specialized in AI, robotics and quantum computing, Hybrid Intelligence World is ready to grow the consciousness of any organization, community, or society.
